I’ve been waiting for quite some time to try out V2 E cigarettes, quite a few people have told me that this is the E cigarette to get a hold of. So I was amazed when 3 or 4 weeks ago I got an E-mail from V2 Cigs themselves asking if I wanted a sample kit to review. How could I decline such an offer?! So a few days later my kit arrived and it turns out they sent me their Ultimate Kit and a pack of each flavor cartridge they do. I was impressed to say the least, this is the first freebie I’ve had.

Anyway enough chatting, time to get on to how the V2 Cig is. You might think that because I got this E cigarette for free that I’ll be singing its praises regardless of how good it is, this is not true. Everything I write is how I feel, regardless of whether I paid full price for the kit or got it for free.

First Impressions

The first thing I thought when I opened up the box my kit was in was, “How much stuff is in there?”. There seemed to be an endless amount of things coming out, so you certainly do get your $160 worth. There has also been a lot of effort put into making the packaging look the part. The main box with the batteries and chargers in is a good quality cardboard box with a nice magnet strip to keep it closed and its finished with a nice glossy design. Inside the box there is a nice cut foam tray that houses 2 batteries (the third battery in the kit comes in a separate box.) Under that tray you have got your wall charger, USB charger and the first 5 of your refill cartridges. All in all the packaging is very impressive, its good quality, looks good and does what it should.

Batteries And Accessories

As I mentioned you get a lot of equipment in the Ultimate Kit, which is as follows –

3 Batteries

1x 100mm short automatic battery, 1x 110mm standard manual battery, 1x 140mm long automatic battery.

You are able to choose any variation of these three styles of battery for your own kit, it just so happens that I got one of each. The V2 Cigs batteries are all 4.2volts (compared to 3.7volts on a Safe Cig for example) which may not sound like a lot, but it does seem to make quite a difference to the vapor production. At the same time they seem to last longer than other batteries too, how they managed more power and longer duration I don’t know. On the V2 Cigs website they claim the 110mm manual battery will last about 200 puffs of use, I measured this roughly and that’s pretty much exactly what I got in the end. That’s long enough to out last their flavor cartridges. The automatic batteries should last a little longer than this because they activate and shut off automatically.

This is the first time I’ve used a manual battery and I found it to be a lot better than the automatic batteries I’ve used before. You don’t need to work as hard to get a drag out of the cigarette, just push the button and take a normal drag like you would with a tobacco cigarette, there is no need to take a “primer puff” first to get the atomizer warmed up. A few of my friends found it a little odd to push a button while taking a drag, but I guess its down to personal preference, I really like it.

The 140mm long battery is massive, its a little too much for me, I don’t mind using it around the house, but I wont be taking it out in public. Plus it doesn’t fit into any of the cases V2 offer. So if you’re buying a starter kit that has a charging case you really don’t need the 140mm battery.

Charging Time
It is stated that the 110mm battery takes about 2-3 hours to charge, I don’t know if this is just the company being cautious, but I’ve found that my 110mm battery takes about an hour to charge via USB. I guess it would be even quicker if I plugged it into the mains supply. Or maybe I’ve got a questionable battery, I doubt it though.

Various Chargers

A/C Wall Charger, USB Charger, Car Charger
There isn’t much to say about the chargers really, they are what they are. Though they are good quality and seem to be pretty sturdy. As with most E cigarette brands the USB charger is the main one, the battery screws into that and then this is plugged into either the computer, the A/C or car charger. The one thing I would say is that maybe a second USB charger should perhaps be bought for use with the car charger, this is the type of thing I would forget to pick up on the way out the door in the morning.

V2 PPC (Portable Charging Case)

The charging case seems to be getting more popular, with many brands adding them to their list of accessories. The V2 charging case is a little different to some of the others I’ve seen. It has a little LCD screen on there that tells you how much power the case has got left in it, saving you from getting stuck without power when you are out of the house. While it is similar to the case you get with the Premium Electronic Cigarette, it does seem to be made better. Now that I’ve used this case for a few weeks, I don’t think I could use an E cigarette that doesn’t come with one of these, it really is a useful piece of kit that every user should have.

Non Charging Carry Case

The kit comes with a regular carry case too, one that doesn’t charge up your battery when on the move. Its a nice looking case with a nice felt finish on the inside, there’s enough space for 2 batteries and 2 cartridges. I’m not sure why they include this in the kit, for me the charging case is all that you need.

The V2 Power-Cig

The Power Cig has got to be the best electronic cigarette device I’ve ever used! You plug this into your computer, a lead comes out of it into what looks like a normal manual battery and you screw your nicotine cartridge directly onto it and puff away. This is even more powerful than the V2 batteries, it gives out 5.1volts. Basically what this means is that you get a much bigger hit and it creates masses of vapor, it really is like nothing else I’ve used before. It is as close as you can get to creating the amount of smoke you get with regular cigarettes.

If you spend any length of time at a computer then this perfect for you. Though if you take it to work there is a chance that your boss is going to ask you to stop smoking because it truly does look like thick smoke that you exhale. Even if you buy a less comprehensive starter kit I really recommend buying the Power Cig in addition, it is well worth the $35 that it costs.

Cartridges and Using The V2

V2 Cigs have got a pretty good selection of flavors and nicotine strengths to choose from, I was lucky enough to get a pack of each flavor to try out and a selection of strengths from 6mg (light) up to 16mg (full). With some brands I’ve found that if you get a lower strength of cartridge you lose that throat hit when you take a drag. With the V2 you still get that throat hit with the 6mg cartridges, though it is definitely less noticeable than with the full strength carts. This is good if you are trying to reduce your nicotine intake by using lower strength cartridges. A lot of people miss that throat hit, you wont with lower strength V2 cartridges. Overall the cartridges offer a pretty smooth and pleasant experience, they produce loads of vapor, I’d say more vapor than any other brand. It truly is impressive.

There are a lot of flavors to go through, so I’m just going to give a brief overview of how I found them.

V2 Red Tobacco – Out of the three tobacco flavors this is my favorite, the name tells you all that you need to know really, you are going to get that classic American tobacco taste. Nice and smooth.

Congress Tobacco – The Congress cartridges are not all that different to the Red tobacco cartridges, there might be a slightly more intense flavor to them, but still with that smooth taste.

Sahara Turkish Tobacco – V2 set out to make a Middle Eastern flavor with the Sahara cartridges, I guess they have managed that, there is a very distinct difference between Sahara and the other two tobacco flavors, but its not to my taste. If you smoked Camel tobacco cigarettes then this flavor will probably suit you the best.

Menthol – The menthol cartridges are really nice, a lot nicer than menthol cigarettes are. The flavor is pretty powerful. It leaves a nice taste in your mouth too, but it seems to linger a little too long. I doubt there is much that can be done about that, that’s just the nature of minty flavors. This is one of my favorite cartridges.

Peppermint – Peppermint isn’t the greatest flavor, it’s not bad, there just doesn’t seem to be a lot of flavor if I’m honest. They smell great when you take them out the box, but it doesn’t carry on when you smoke them. I’d rather use the Menthol carts.

Coffee – Coffee cartridges tend to taste more like coffee flavored candy than an actual coffee, so its either a love it or hate it flavor. I love coffee, but I’m not that keen on the taste of these. Coffee carts also seem to give me less of a throat hit than all the others as well.

Chocolate – Chocolate is another one that doesn’t have a very distinct flavor, to me it taste more like another variety of tobacco than chocolate to me, it could do with a little improvement.

Vanilla – The vanilla refills are really nice, not too much flavor and not too little, its just right. I think if they were any stronger and sweeter they would get a bit sickly quite quickly, but that’s not the case, I could easily use these all of the time.

Cherry – Cherry is another flavor that tastes more like a candy, but unlike coffee I really like the cherry flavor, its not my favorite but it does taste really good and quite cherry like.

Cola – I’ve kept cola to the end for a reason, as they say, save the best til last. I absolutely love these cartridges, they taste fantastic, much like cola popsicles I’d eat when I was younger. If you buy a V2 Cig, then you need to make sure you get some cola cartridges to try, I’m sure you’ll love them.

Overall the V2 cartridges are pretty damn good, they taste good and they make unreal levels of vapor, I’d go as far as saying they make more vapor than the much loved “Vapor Monster”, Green Smoke. When you combine then with the manual battery or the Power Cig I don’t think any other brand can beat them for thick vapor production.

Refill Costs

The cost to buy new cartridges for the V2 is pretty reasonable, they start out at $12.95 for 5 ($2.59 each) but there are a number of offers to buy in bulk, this way to can cut down the price to as low as $1.62 each. Considering how good they taste and how much vapor they produce this is a real bargain.

Other Replacement Parts

If you find that you need to replace any parts of your starter kit then everything is available from the V2 store, chargers cost as little as $5, new batteries cost $29.95, regardless of size, color, whether they are automatic or manual. You can also buy the V2 Power Cig for $34.95 and the portable charging case for $44.95. These seem like pretty fair prices for what you get.

Improvements

Like most things V2 Cigs are not perfect, there are some small things I’d like them to change. The main thing is the packaging of the cartridges. The cartridges just come with plastic caps on each end, there is nothing else to seal them. Most other brands tell us that cartridges need to be sealed for longer freshness. So I’d like to see the cartridges individually sealed, air tight, at least. It also gives some peace of mind knowing that no one else will have tampered with them before you use them. Other than that there really isn’t anything to change.

Summing Up

While I had heard good things about V2 Cigs before I had tried them I really didnt think I’d like it this much. The V2 is without doubt my new favorite device. It creates amazing amounts of vapor, it tastes great and comes with a manual battery. But not only that, it doesn’t cost all that much to buy. The Ultimate Kit costs just less than $160, I know that is pretty steep. But to be honest most people are not going to need all that is included in the Ultimate Kit. The Traveller Kit only costs $109.95 and it contains everything I think you need, the Portable Carry Case, the Power-Cig included.

3-Piece E Cigarettes
What is a 3-piece E cigarette? Basically it means that there are 3 parts to the E cigarette, the battery, an atomizer and the nicotine cartridge. With a 2-piece design the cartridge and atomizer are made together.

But today I’m going to look at a 3-piece device, the Vapor King featuring eTank technology. I’ve had this electronic cigarette for quite some time now, but I’ve not really had the time to write anything up about it, mainly because I’m busy, but also because it never really amazed me, or inspired me to write anything.

When the Vapor King first arrived it looks pretty good. The packaging is nice and all of the parts look to be really well made. The only thing I didn’t like the look of was the nicotine cartridges, they were individually sealed in clear wrappers, but you could see that nicotine liquid had been leaking out of them, not really something I want to see.

Once you get everything out the box and unwrapped you need to build the device up – screw the atomizer onto the battery and then push the cartridge into the atomizer. With the cartridge leaking inside the packaging this means that you will have nicotine fluid all over your hands, this isn’t so nice, trust me.

Once you get to use the device it’s actually not too bad. The vapor that is given off is pretty substantial and thick, very nice. Also the tobacco taste is nice too, it’s hard to put my finger on what it tastes like, but I quite like it. There are downsides to it though. The main problem that I have is that it requires a lot of effort to get a drag out of it, you really do need to suck hard on it. After using V2 and White Cloud devices, which drag really easily, this is not something I’m used to any more, nor something I particularly want to do, I want a nice easy drag that I don’t need to think about.

The other issue is with the nicotine cartridges, not only do they leak in the pack before you use them, but they leak when attached to the atomizer, the liquid runs down the side of the cartridge towards the part you put in your mouth, if you don’t notice this and take a drag then you’ll be rushing for a sink to spit it out and flush your mouth out with clean water, because it’s horrible!

Normally I would write quite a bit more in an E cigarette review, but I don’t feel compelled to write much about the Vapor King. The vapor and tobacco taste are pretty good, but it’s just far too messy to maintain and build up and getting nicotine liquid on your hands and in your mouth really is disgusting, its not something I want to experience, ever. So for those reason I almost never use my Vapor King and why it wont be featured in my list of Top Rated E-Cigarettes. If you are looking for your first E cigarette then avoid this and check out the V2 Cig, or Safe Cig, they cost about the same, and you will be one hundred times happier with your purchase.

The FDA should be respected and so should their views. But they have apparently tested a few E cigarettes and found a few issues with them, nicotine levels were inconstant, the products were made to a poor quality standard and there were some unsavory chemicals found in them. But I honestly believe that they have sampled some horrible, cheap electronic cigarettes, which I strongly recommend that you *avoid. The bigger brands such as V2 Cigs, Green Smoke and Safe Cigs all do what they can to ensure that their products are safe to use and of the highest quality possible, gaining CE and RoSH certificates and other recognised qualifications and approvals.

This gives me peace of mind. I know that ingesting nicotine and other ingredients isn’t great for my health, but E cigarettes are an alternative to smoking tobacco, not stop smoking devices. I really do enjoy a smoke, so I had no intention of giving up, but I would rather be able to smoke everywhere, save a stack of money and not stink of tobacco smoke (a smell that I have grown to detest over the last few years).

Another group with issues are anti smoking groups. They have a few points, one being that this is a product that children could use, or could be attracted to. About a year ago this would have been a pretty valid point, I never saw any age restrictions on any E cigarette manufacturers websites. But over the last year pretty much all of the bigger brands have put age restrictions on their products. I’m not sure how the mall retailers work, but I’m sure they wouldn’t sell to under 18s (or under 21s, depending where you are). Children using these devices could lead them on to them taking up smoking tobacco cigarettes, of course this is something that we all want to prevent. But if kids want to get their hands on these devices they will, like they do with tobacco, alcohol and many other things, but honest sellers are trying their hardest to avoid children using these devices.

These groups also fear that people will just use electronic cigarettes rather than stopping completely, but I cant see how this is all that bad. As I mentioned above I really like to smoke and I would still be using tobacco if it wasn’t for E cigarettes, this is the same for a huge number of people. We know just how bad tobacco is for our health and the health of people around us, so if E cigarettes turn out to be even slightly better for us and everyone else then this is a great improvement.

There will never be a point in time when no one smokes, so we have to look to alternatives rather than trying to get people who don’t want to give up smoking, to stop, it wont happen. E cigarettes are the ideal alternative and tobacco users should be encouraged to try them out.

The biggest obstacle in our way is the fact that there is so little honest information out there about E cigarettes. Most of the websites out there are filled with nonsense, information that has been gathered by reading someone else’s nonsense, there are very few people out there who have actually tried a wide range of electronic cigarettes, either that or it is the information from a manufacturers website, they all say they make the best E cigarette, they can’t all be right, who is? What you need is the knowledge from a person who has been there, tried all the devices and knows from experience which E cigarette retailers are selling goods which live up to the promise of being the best. This is where I come in, over the last 2 or 3 years I’ve used a large number of E cigarettes, from the great to the terrible, so from my experience I’ll hopefully help you buy the right device for your needs.

The first E cigarette that you buy or try needs to be the best possible E cigarette for a couple of reasons:

1. A negative first experience will probably be the impression that lasts, you might think all manufacturers products are poor and that E cigarettes deserve no more of your time or money.

2. If your first experience is not a positive one you may decide that the E cigarette is not for you and return to tobacco cigarettes. This is not what we want, as you would be missing out on a product that has the potential to improve your way of life.

Because the electric cigarette is a relatively new device I’d be willing to bet that a large percentage of the population hasn’t even heard of them yet. Every time someone sees me vaping in public they ask me what I’m doing. It almost looks like I’m smoking but at the same time there is something strange about it. And the fact that I happen to be blowing out vast clouds of what looks like smoke in a no smoking area always causes a bit of a stir.

My Reviews

When it comes to working out what E cigarette to buy it can be really hard if you don’t have someone that you know personally to guide you in the right direction. So most of us will have to rely on what we find on the internet. This is not so bad if you find the right resources, but as I mentioned above there are a lot of E cigarette websites out there that are just filled up with spam and useless information.

This is why I have created this website and filled it with E cigarette reviews and any other information I can find or think of posting. All of the devices that have been reviewed here I own and have used over a long period of time. I try to be as honest as possible in all my reviews so that you are able to decide what is going to work for you.

I started the way as many others, I bought a generic Chinese import in the form of a dse801. I didn’t really know what to expect to be honest having heard about the e cig from a news story on TV, but I thought it would be worth a shot. The dse801 worked reasonably well to begin with I suppose, I was just happy to have a novel little product that kept me entertained and off the horrible tobacco fumes.

A month or so into my journey the device started to malfunction with the atomizer getting clogged and the battery starting to run out of steam much more quickly. Many people probably decide to give up with vaping at this point but I loved the potential of the idea and decided to hunt down the very best retailers in an effort to find one that would work as a long term tobacco replacement.

You’ll be happy to hear that after a couple of hiccups I found a few devices that were well built, tasted great and stood the test of time. Initially it was the Green Smoke that I held with the highest regard, but a few months after that discovery I found The Safe Cig which I thought gave me a much more genuine smoking experience, great hits and great tobacco flavor. Then in the middle of this year I was introduced to V2 Cigs, for me this device blew all the others out of the water, it did all that the others would do, but many times better. Even better flavors, big hits and huge levels of vapor. So right now I use my V2 most of the time, but that doesn’t stop me from trying out other devices, I’m always looking for improvements or the “next big thing”.

Electronic cigarettes really have taken the world by storm, there are so many people now making the transition over to them from tobacco cigarettes. For those of you who don’t yet use E cigarettes but want to give them a try, you will probably wonder where to buy them. Should you buy your E cigarette starter kit from the vendors at the local mall, from your local convenience store, or from an online store?

I know quite a few people who have bought a cheap E cigarette starter kit from someone at the mall, in most cases they have been fairly disappointed with what they bought after hearing great things about E cigarettes. The retailers in the malls have a tendency to sell lower quality products, these might seem pretty good at first glance and first sample, but before long any smoker will realise that they don’t satisfy our urges like tobacco does.

This is not good for smokers who are looking for an alternative to tobacco, they will end up turning back to tobacco. So for this reason I would recommend buying your E cigarette starter kit from an online store, direct from the manufacturer. This way you have got time to sit and think about what it is that you are going to buy, you can spend time looking through E cigarette reviews to work out what device is going to be the best one for you. Rather than being rushed into something that you may not like, by people who will probably not be in business the next time you visit the mall.

What Do You Get In A Starter Kit?

As you would imagine, you get everything that you need to get started with E cigarettes in a starter kit. So what is that? The most basic and essential parts are the battery, a charger and nicotine cartridges. But many companies offer a bit more than this in their kits.

V2 Cigs for example, in their cheapest kit – the Economy Kit – for $59.95 you get the following –

• 1x Battery
• 10x Nicotine Cartridges
• 1x USB Charger
• 1x A/C Wall Charger

This doesn’t seem like a lot, but its enough for you to get started in the world of electronic cigarettes.

If you smoke a pack or more a day and you want to replace tobacco cigarettes completely, you will need a little more, you could either opt for another battery, or for a portable battery charger to keep you going all day, as one battery probably wont last a full days use without a recharge. With V2 you can either buy these extra parts separately or you could buy a slightly more comprehensive starter kit, such as their “Traveller Kit”.

With companies such as V2 Cigs, Green Smoke and so on the more expensive the starter kit the more things you get in it. The higher price tag doesn’t mean a higher quality product, from the cheapest to the most expensive the quality is the same (in the case of these brands, very high quality at that), you just get more for your money.

Real Reviews

If you take a look around E Cigarettes Buy you will find that there are reviews for almost all of the top brands of E cigarette. I own all of the devices that have been reviewed and I write honestly, this cant be said for the other spammy E cigarette websites out there. So take a bit of time a look through the rest of this site to see what appeals to you. I would recommend starting off with V2 Cigs though, for me this E cigarette replicates smoking tobacco better than any other. The tobacco flavors are genuine, the feel in your throat is spot on and the vapor produced is incredible, a lot like smoke.

E-Lites E cigarettes are another one of the smaller companies that I have come across while I have been looking through forums and other E cigarette websites to see what everyone else is using. Quite a few people had good things to say about them, so I decided to give them a try and see how it went.

Looking at the E-Lites website they come across as a company that isn’t interested in all the fancy extras that many other companies go for, they’re just interested in the smoking. When my kit arrived this is the impression I got again, this isn’t a bad thing, the kit may look quite simple and only cost $65, but its still of a decent quality.

Batteries

In both of the E cigarette starter kits that E-Lites offer you only get one battery, I guess this to try try and keep the price down as much as possible. From my use of the device I found that you could easily get over 300 puffs before the battery would need to be recharged. So that is over 30 regular cigarettes worth of smoking time, so for most people this is going to be more than enough to last them through the full day.

You might think that to get this longevity out of the battery it would need to be massive, this is not the case at all, while it is bigger than the tiny White Cloud Cirrus 3 battery it is actually a little smaller than the Safe Cigs battery and it lasts quite a bit longer too. It doesn’t weigh a lot either, only 11 grams (the same as the Safe Cig). Recharge times are decent as well, from my experience it only takes about an hour to charge the battery from nothing to full.

Refill Cartridges

E-Lites seem to have taken a similar route to Safe Cigs with their refills, they don’t bother with all of the fancy, fun flavors, they stick to the simple stuff, good tobacco and menthol flavors. So, the only cartridges you can get are Tobacco, Light, Menthol and Nicotine Free. I got their E200 Tobacco starter kit. Being honest I would say that these are perhaps one of the best tasting tobacco cartridges on the market. They have a very authentic tobacco flavor and they don’t leave any funny tastes in the mouth after a puff. Not only do they taste really good but they produce a really good throat hit, its not massive but it is quite substantial. They also last for an age as well, from a single refill I got close to 400 puffs, which equates to about 40 normal cigarettes, I don’t think there are any other companies that offer that many puffs from a single cart. The vapor production isn’t too bad either, its not anywhere close to the V2 Cigs, but its good enough.

The only thing that I can fault the E-Lites carts for is that they do require quite a lot of work to get a drag out of them, there seems to be quite a lot of resistance. There is quite a noticeable difference between these and both the V2 and the Cirrus 3.

Costs

When you first look at the price of the E-Lites refills you might take a sharp intake of breath. $24.99 for a pack of 5 refills these days is quite a lot, but, you need to remember that these cartridges last almost twice as long as many other electronic cigarette refills. A pack of 5 refills gives you around about 200 normal cigarettes worth of smoking time, so for the equivalent of a pack of 20 cigarettes it will cost you $2.49, or there abouts. This isn’t the cheapest, but it is still very good value for money, considering how good they taste and the overall experience.

Carry Case

With the E200 starter kit you get a hard case for your E-Lite, this isn’t a portable charging case, but you can plug it into the USB port of your computer and charge your battery through it. It’s actually a pretty good case, it looks a lot like a pack of Marlboro cigarettes, the same colors anyway, it doesn’t weigh a lot and it stores 5 cartridges as well as your battery. It’s similar in shape to the case you get with the Apollo E Cigarette but the E-Lites version is slightly less bulky.

To charge your battery through the case, you just push the battery into its allotted space, no need to screw it into place, just push it and then plug the case into the USB port on your computer, a red light will come on to let you know its charging then this will go green when the battery is really. Very simple, but very good none the less.

Accessories/Replacements

If you don’t want to use the E-Lites case to charge your batteries then you can buy standalone USB sticks and wall chargers from the E-Lites store for the very reasonable price of $13.99. Also if you smoke more than 40 cigarettes a day and need another battery to last you through the day you can buy another battery for only $14.99, that is a bargain if you ask me.

Improvements

There really isn’t a lot wrong with the E-Lites E cigarette, probably the only thing that I would like is for the cartridges to be a little easier to drag from and of course a little bit more vapor. Some people (myself included) do like a change in flavors as well, so maybe one or two fruity flavors in the range would be good as well.

Overall

The E-Lites E cigarette is very good, it might not be quite as good as the V2, but it is not far off of it. It is certainly in the same ball park as Safe Cigs and Green Smoke in terms of smoking experience. If you are looking for a first electronic cigarette you wont be disappointed with the E-Lite device.

If you have been using E cigarettes for any length of time you will probably have heard about White Cloud E Cigarettes, you will also probably have noticed their high prices. The White Cloud Cirrus 3 E Cigarette is the most expensive E cigarette on the market – costing a whopping $290 – this is a fact that they seem to be very proud of, but are they worth all that money?

I really wanted to give the White Cloud a try and see if it was worth the extra cost and see if it was the best electronic cigarette, but I didn’t want to spend a huge amount of money on it – I’ve spent enough on E cigarettes as it is – so I sent them an E-mail to see if I could get a bit of a discount in return for a review on E Cigarettes Buy, to my amazement they offered to send me a sample kit free of charge! So that was a few months ago, I’ve had plenty of time to give their top of the range Cirrus 3 E cigarette a good run out.

The first thing that I noticed when my Cirrus 3 arrived was the really high quality packaging that it all comes in, they certainly don’t skimp on their packing. Inside the box the batteries are well secured in nicely cut out foam and everything, while tightly packed, is easy to get out.

Batteries

The batteries that come with the new Cirrus 3 are the biggest selling and marketing point for White Cloud, they are the smallest and lightest E cigarette batteries available right now. This might not sound that it means all that much, but it really does change how the device feels in your hand, between your fingers and in your mouth. It is a lot closer to feeling like a tobacco cigarette than any other E cigarette I’ve used. Being smaller and lighter doesn’t effect the life of the battery all that much either, I’ve managed to get roughly the same life out of my WC battery as I get out of my larger V2 Cigs battery. There is some really smart stuff going on inside the Cirrus 3. So out of a single charge I get about 200 puffs, which is the average I get from electronic cigarettes.

In the White Cloud starter kit you get 3 batteries, all of these fit into the carry case that WC offer, so you can carry them around all day, no problem. This will give enough smoking time to even the heaviest smokers among us.

Once you have used all of the power out of your batteries it will take just over an hour to charge each one via USB on your computer. This is pretty quick, most others take 1.5 hours or more to charge. Quite impressive

Cartridges

The White Cloud SmoothDraw cartridges have been talked about quite a lot as many people consider them to be the best on the market. WC have put a lot of effort into making them drag real easy, taste great and produce good vapor.

There are 8 flavors of SmoothDraw cartridge to choose from, these are –

Tobacco, Menthol, Vanilla, Espresso, Strawberry, Clove, Chocolate and Kick flavor

All of these are pretty self explanatory except for “Kick” flavor, which is cinnamon with a hint of honey, sadly this flavor was released just after I got my Cirrus 3, so I have been unable to test it, but it does sound very nice!

Of all the flavors that I tried I think vanilla has got to be my favorite, it has got a nice sweet taste to it, but it isn’t overly sweet and sickening like some other vanilla cartridges I’ve used. Overall, the flavors are really very good, there isn’t a bad one in the bunch, I cant say that for many other brands.

You also have a wide choice of nicotine strengths for your cartridges with White Cloud, 6 in all, ranging from nicotine free to full strength and up to double extra strength! So literally every type of smoker is catered for, light smokers to very, very heavy smokers.

Vapor

The vapor production is probably where the Cirrus 3 is at its weakest. To be honest there there isn’t a lot of vapor, even when you take a primer puff to warm up the atomizer and then take a long drag there isn’t a lot made. The vapor is also quite inconsistent, some cartridges would create what I would class as average amounts of vapor while others would produce next to none, I’ve no idea why this is, I guess its just inconsistency.

The throat hit when you drag is really good though, you really do feel the vapor hit your throat with each inhale of a full strength cartridge, the hit is even bigger when using the Extra strength carts.

Leaking Cartridges

One thing I didn’t expect with this E cigarette is nicotine liquid leaking out of the cartridge into my mouth, but sadly this happened to me on a number of occasions. If this has never happened to you count yourself lucky, because the taste of this liquid terrible! It was so bad in fact it put me off using my Cirrus 3 for quite a while, but I decided I had to give it another try. So after a bit of experimenting I found that I would only get liquid in my mouth if I took a strong, sharp drag, if I take long, gentle drags there isn’t an issue. These gentle drags are not a problem because the SmoothDraw cartridges are super easy to drag from there is really no effort needed to get a good nicotine hit. Though I have to say, I wouldn’t expect this from a product that costs more than double the cost of its competitors.

Considering how much the Cirrus 3 starter kit costs, and that you get almost 2 packs worth of smoking out of a single cartridge, the price of the SmoothDraw refills is actually very good. For $19.95 you get 5 refills, so that works out to 10 packs of cigarettes at under $2 each. Great value for money, better than many of the lower priced competitors.

Accessories

Amazingly in the Cirrus 3 starter kit you don’t get the carry case that they offer. For almost $300 you would think that you would get their $20 carry case. Anyway, if you are going to buy the Cirrus 3 I strongly recommend that you buy a case for it, not just to make it easier to carry your E cigarette around with you, but these cases are probably the nicest E cigarette cases on the market. They have a nice soft, leathery exterior and a well finished interior too, they look and feel really nice! Well worth the $20 that they cost.

Improvements

As you will have read there are some things that need to be amended with the Cirrus 3, the leaky cartridges is the main thing. While there is a way round the problem I don’t want to be consciously cautious when I’m smoking, the cheaper brands manage to overcome this issue, The Safe Cig for example has the “catcher” to stop liquid leaking into the users mouth, so im sure White Cloud can make something similar.

The other thing is the vapor production, I was given the impression that vapor production was going to be great, but in reality it was well below many of the lower price competitors, Green Smoke and V2 Cigs in particular.

So, do I think you should spend $290 on the White Cloud Cirrus 3? Not really, I think the Cirrus 3 could be great, fantastic even, the flavors are excellent, the cartridges last for ages and the small size makes is feel a lot more like a regular cigarette than the other brands on the market, but I just don’t think its worth twice what the most expensive V2 kit costs. Even if the vapor levels were on par with V2 and the cartridges didn’t leak, I still don’t think it is a product that would be twice as good as the competition, it would only marginally better, if it was better at all. So in my honest opinion you should save your money buy the V2, which is almost perfect and costs a great deal less.
